My photography style is joyful, perceptive and nostalgic
Bim Oyediran

Bim Oyediran is a portrait, event, and documentary photographer based in Dublin, Ireland.
Her documentary photography highlights everyday people in their everyday lives. They could be at home, on the streets, in the park, at their local coffee shop, by the school gates, in nature or in the city. She often uses the environment to frame the person or add context to the photograph.
Her portrait sessions usually take place outdoors, where she is the most connected. That sense of groundedness is something she extends to the people she photographs a sense of safety and freedom. Play is important in her approach, whether with children or adults; it’s not just the camera that embraces each moment.
The 35mm is her go-to lens as it requires her to get close to whatever she’s photographing. She appreciates black & white photography because it’s timeless and expressive. Joy is a recurring theme in her work, expressed in many forms, from the big hearty laughter to barefoot walks in the grass.
